Add Unify as a Receiver for OTP Emails Sent to a Google Group
1. Confirm your OTPs are routed through a Google Group 0:00
This process applies if your OTP codes are already being sent to one Google Group and then shared with multiple people.
The goal is to add Unify as another recipient so it can receive those OTP emails too.
2. Open the target Google Group 0:12
Go to groups.google.com.
Click the Google Group that currently receives the OTP emails.
You’ll make the Unify setup from inside this group’s settings and member list.
3. Enable external members if needed 0:17
In the group, open Group Settings.
Check that Allow external members to join this group is enabled.
If it is not enabled, turn it on before continuing.
4. Add the Unify 2FA setup URL as a member 0:30
Go to Members.
Click Add Member.
Paste in the URL provided on the Unify 2FA setup page.
Make sure each email/address is accepted when prompted.
Click Add Members to finish.
5. Verify Unify is now receiving the group’s OTP emails 0:46
Once added, the configuration should complete automatically.
After that, the Unify OTP email will receive all emails sent to the Google Group.
No additional routing steps are needed after the member is added.
